I'm a teacher here in the UK (and on a work permit). My school is about to change management. They've already filled out the paper work for a new work permit (extension) but now that our school is about to change management, they are going to have to wait until it changes hands, which could jeopardise my current employment with them. What would you suggest. I've emailed them several documents from the Home Office (Border Agency) and I don't want to keep bugging them. What should I do?
Should I start looking for a new job?
You should keep bugging the home office. you need help urgently and they are suppose to advise you. try too the foreign office. its too easy to become an illegal immigrant here and if you fall into that category, people really will show you the other side of their two faces - the evil one.
