I am working for a factory that makes fiberglass compound material. My doctor told me I'm allergic to the material I work with. So, I need to find a new job. I want a job I can start planning for the future, A place I can retire from. What should I take into consideration before starting my search?
What do I need to know before I start looking for a new job?
That its not a place that college students go to find jobs :)
Reply:you must take high courses in any language you must be clever in computer if this happend you can find a jop so easily
Reply:You are not going to find a job you can retire from right now. Unless you dont plan on furthering your education. In that case Mcd's is good. I see the same people there from when I was in middle school.
Oh yeah, I graduated HS in 2000
Reply:Keep in mind your schooling and personal desires. If you are young, there will probably be a lot of jobs in your future, before settling on one to retire from.
If you get into a government type job, or even the military, they have great retirement plans, and many possibilities for a variety of jobs.
Good luck, sounds like a good plan! (oh, and you may want to look into a medical compensation claim if you are having long term effects from your allergy)
Reply:Think about what job field you want to enter into next, and then remake your resume to that job field's area of interest!
Ex: if you want to enter the retail (clothing) career, then change your resume into "I have great experience in sales and customer service..." blah blah blah you get the point.
Reply:you need to know why u got fired from the last one
Reply:fibreglass very very very bad.for all .
get a good job.
try the academic subframe of resaerch etc,,much healthier.
Reply:First off, make sure you can pay off your bills on time. Then look for a job that offers good benefits and is something you want to do.
Reply:for one nothing is for sure so if you want to retire at a job i suggest you have a talent so go to school again like nurse or fork lift operator etc that way it is not hard to find a job....also go to a employment agency to help with your resume and have guidance on what kind of job or where to look good luck
Reply:you should know how to impress a boss
Reply:You need to combine your talents, your potential with the jobs that are available, in your area, if you intend to stay there.
A good way to begin is to take the free Myers-Briggs tests that are available all over the web. This will give you an idea about your psychological personality, and once you know your preferences, you can do searches to find out about fields that may be appropriate for you. (There are other psychological tests that are good, too, but this is a start).
Next, take a look at the suggestion career fields to find out what the possible job outlook will be. If you are located in the U.S., then take at look at the U.S. Dept. of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. Lastly, check your local sources (newspapers, Craigslist, etc.) and see anyone is hiring for the job(s) that interest you, what they are paying, etc.
Last, of course - find out what it will take (education) to get that job. (Realize, also, there is probably no such thing as a job that will last the rest of your life - that's reality).
Reply:Take into consideration what you are happy doing. What are your interest and the salary of those jobs. If you a passion and feel good about your career then you'll do alright.
Reply:you need to know what kinda job you want, weather it is data entry, customer service etc go to monster, craigs list etc and put in a resume
Reply:First, think about your dream job. What does your office look- like? How many people report to you. Now, jump 29 years from now. What will you be doing? Think along these lines and find others you can talk to about your passion. Once you know where you are going in the future, you can anticipate and plan for your future,.,
Reply:I would start with the job training program. They go throw inter-wing skills and Rama Writing and how to find and keep a Job you like.
Reply:first of all you should treat u health take care of your allergic trouble because nobody may work without health, so make sure about it and go searching another position that gives u the chance of getting more money, satisfaction and keep your health well. good luck nice girl!
