Looking for info on Law Enforcement Jobs?

I was wondering if a person with asthma (I have an inhaler)can take BLET, and work as a police officer,sheriff's deputy,etc. Also, if not, what other jobs are out there for someone with a two-year degree in CJ?

I have asthma and was a cop for 18 years. I went to work at the sherriff dept and was a deputy for 2 more years. As long as you can control your asthma with an inhaler you should have no problem. There are times it was hard because of the asthma, but you can be hired.

Reply:asthma is no biggie. you can go into the office of the city police department and ask if they need cadets. and they will help you from their on.
Reply:Call the personnel office of the police agency where you want to work. You can get a job as a records clerk in most police agencies even with asthma.
